Here is an important story of G.R.Phadke and generations followed. Since last four generations this family has given student to Kalabhavan and Faculty of Technology and Engineering. Brifely the details are given below with available photographs.</I></div> <div> <I>                     It was G.R.Phadke who pursued a course of Diploma at erstwhile Kalabhavan Technical Institute in Mechanical Engineering Department and completed studies in 1928. He was motivated to setup garage, possibly first one of its kind in private sector, which was popularly came to be know as Phadke Garage in 1950s. The garage is located near Kalabhavan institute on Dandia Bazar Road.</I></div> <bR> <div> <I>                     V.G.Phadke, son of G.R.Phadke followed the trend set by his father and obtained diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Kalabhavan Technical Institute in 1950 and joined Phadke garage - a family industry setup by his father G.R.Phadke. The Garage continued to grow and became popular for services rendered to customers.</I></div> <bR> <div> <I>                     Ramchandra alias Mohan V. Phadke continued family tradition and joined now Faculty of Technology and Engineering [erstwhile Kalabhavan Technical Institute] and obtained degree in Mechanical engineering in 1974. Subsequently he joined Phadke garage and with higher technical competency and enhanced scope of ancestral business and began taking technically challanging jobs besides automobile servicing and repairing. Business now assumes title G.R.Phadke and Sons.</I></div> <bR> <div> <I>                   Manasi Phadke, daughter of  Ramachandra Phake didn't fail to continue family tradition and took degree in Electrical Engineering in 2002 and obtain Master's degree in 2004. She is now working as Lecturer in Electrical Engineering department.</I></div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
